So the short story behind this picture. No, I am not obsessed with goats nor even particularly like them, not that I have anything against them either. Please no angry emails from goat-herders. Anyway on with the story. I am sitting outside in the garden of my friend’s house in Aveyron, a beautiful region in France, when I notice the amazing clouds beginning to fill the sky. I LOVE great clouds. As a landscape photographer great clouds can make or break a photograph. Unfortunately I have no control over when or where these clouds can appear, and while that ability might be an incredibly lame superpower, it would be an amazing asset for a photographer. So I go inside and grab the camera and start walking to find something to take a picture of that I can include those amazing clouds.
After walking for quite a while down narrow lanes between fields without success I came to an opening on the side of a ridge. While standing there admiring the view of the valley and trying out different photo compositions in my head. I turned and noticed this large herd of goats headed my way. To be considerate I attempted to move out of the way. To my amusement no matter where I moved they continued to follow me. After trying to decide how to use these new found powers - for good or evil and coming to the conclusion that a herd of goats probably would be of minimal help in the quest for global domination. I decided just take a few pictures of the goats with the amazing clouds.
I hope you found this interesting. Please feel free to leave any thoughts, questions or comments that you might have.
